Chester found the sun and decided to take a little afternoon nap, sometimes I wish I was a spoiled rotten dog with no worries in the world.
Jeff and Jackie drove down the day after Christmas to spend time with us in Alabama, I think they brought the cold weather! The next time they come to visit we will have an addition to our family. This was our first Christmas that we got to have our very own tree, not many needles have fallen off we may be able to keep it going until March!
For our first Christmas at the house just the two of us, we decided to just hang out and have a relaxing day. We woke up and made some pancakes, eggs and bacon. I started to make some sugar cookies and worked on them throughout the day, even got some decorated. We watched some TV including a little bit of Grease and some of the basketball games. We opened a few gifts from each other and my Mom and Dad. In fact I am wearing the socks that I got right now. Jared got me the Allen Jackson Gospel CD that I have been looking for for almost a year!!! I have listened to it about 5 times now. He also got me a CD case for my truck and filled it with CD's for me to listen to. Chester and Abby got me some attachments for the Kitchen Aid, and got me a gift card to Old Navy so when I skinny again I can get some new clothes. Or maybe it was so I will get her some stuff... I got Jared some stuff for hunting, a special vest that I guess you put dead things in?? not really sure all I know is he needed one that could hold some birds and some bullets. I also got him a hunting knife that I sat at Bass Pro Shop for 45 minutes waiting for the man to find the case for it. I think he likes it, he wore it all day on his belt.

Today was my last day at work until next Thursday, I am ready to sleep in and just relax! We made some homemade chicken soup today to have for dinner and I used all my brown bananas to make some bread, the Kitchen Aid made it so easy and the texture was perfect.
Today while Jared was Christmas shopping I made myself the perfect lunch... cheese and miracle whip sandwich, granny smith apples and some nacho cheese Doritos's. I could eat that everyday!
Mixture of 12-24 month. I did so many loads of baby clothes the past 3 days, who would have thought that little clothes take up so much space. It's all ready to go now, all we need is a naked baby to put them on.
I made about 100 of these yesterday and froze them, Jared doesn't eat sweets so its all on me that's why I figured I needed to freeze them. I had to sample about 4 while I was baking them... Today I am going to bake some banana muffins and bread and sugar cookies.
Today I decided to get in the Christmas spirit by pampering myself a little and getting a pedicure, I even strayed away from my normal black/ or as dark purple as I can find and got green with sparkles. The only bad part is they won't give me the usual foot massage because I am pregnant... something about nerves and toxins??
Tonight I made homemade lasagna and fixed a salad, I made a ton of it so I will be freezing it for later. We also started messing with Skype... if anyone is an expert we could use some help!
I saw this cow hat online and couldn't resist, and we had to have at least one thing that said Daddy's Girl. I had my 26 week appointment today, the Doctor measured my belly and said I was just right at 24 cm. I have gained 8 lbs in my pregnancy so far, but i still have a few months to go. Her heart rate is 130 which the Doctor said is low for a girl, she said that she may just be a mellow baby... lets keep our fingers crossed! We have decided to do the 4-D ultrasound, we scheduled it for January 7th Jesse's birthday. I think she will have the Bevill noes, we will have to wait and see.
Jared was so excited to see the final product that he kept looking out the window to make sure that it was dark enough to test the lights. We all bundled up to go look at the lights together as a family, Chester even put on his sweater. Oh yeah it was a chilly 36*!
A quick ride to the store, and we are proud owners of a 16' ladder. Much more safe than hanging off the roof.

Jared got a ladder today so he can hang the rest of the lights, last night he jumped from the top of his truck to the roof and was laying on his stomach hanging over the edge... I took his picture so I could remember what he looked like in on piece.
Jesse sent a box for my Birthday, here are a few of the items in it, Jared wanted to know if there were any like it in his size. They are all from The Import House and made from natural wool, very soft too! Thanks Jess!
The last few nights have been dipping into the 20's here, Abby even has started going under the covers like Chester. Guess we will have to turn on some heat before the baby gets here!
I didn't even wait to leave the parking lot! I had to open the box and sample one to make sure they were good. They always seem to be smaller than I remember when we were young. We would each get one, the box only comes with 5 though so I guess we bought 2 boxes... my favorite treat for Christmas, even better if you freeze them!
I have to say in the last few weeks my belly has got bigger, most other things are staying the same size which looks pretty funny! I hear the last month that my stomach will double!!! I don't even want to think about that right now. Shaving my legs has already become a chore...
We woke up this morning to a beautiful sunny day, so we decided to do some spring cleaning in December. We opened all the windows and let nice fresh air in, we dusted everything, vacuumed, scrubbed, did laundry, organized, and even changed the AC filter. Abby and Chester played outside and looked out the windows, they were a huge help!
The picture would not work with me so sorry deal with it! These are some hats that Haley made for the baby, i helped with one of them, they are pretty addicting. Thanks Haley!
Jared's sister Jacie got me this beautiful cross, that within minutes of entering the house went on the wall. Thanks Jacie its perfect! My parents got me some maternity clothes so i don't have to squeeze into my jeans, and some baby books. They also got me the Willow Tree pregnant lady statue and tons of my favorite candy. I will be using the gifts that Jared's parents and grandparents gave me to treat myself to a spa day. I am hoping to find a place that does pregnancy massages! Thanks everyone for making my Birthday so special!
Jared and his family went to Walmart at midnight, he brought me back this Kitchen Aid which i plan to make cookies, bread, and attempt my Mother's cheese cake.
This is one of the gifts that Jared gave me, he made it all himself... well his Mom helped cut some of the pictures. Isn't he so crafty!
