Our Country Makeover

 

 

We decided to do a room makeover, we also forgot to take a before picture... I need to dig one up.  Anyway we totally redid the room to be what we consider a "Country" feel. We used some things that we had and we found some new items to give it the right feel. We started by getting an new quilt for the bed and went from there.  We also got a new mattress topper, the memory foam type to make it feel like new as well.  We slept very good last night, almost felt like we were sleeping somewhere else!

Julia's Oyster Bar

Julia loves to play in her playhouse and pretend to cook food, her favorite thing to do is to ask "may I help you?"  Then you tell her what you want to eat or drink, and she will go inside and make it, she will then bring it to you and have you taste it while she is standing in front of you.  She has a pretty extensive menu, hamburgers, pizza, spaghetti, milk, beer, and now newly added while in season oysters in the half shell.  If you want a table you better come early, some regulars you will see are... Baby, Chester, Abby, Daddy, Kitty and Mommy.

New Treasures

I decided to go a little out of my comfort zone, and go to a consignment store instead of my normal garage sales.  I found some pretty great steals, the little wooden kitchen for $30.00 and some cute little dresses and a shirt all for $10.00, also this BIG girl slide for about a third of what a new one would cost at the big name stores.  I am very excited though for the 29th of this month, I signed up to be on an e-mail for a big garage sale held in a  near by church auditorium.  It is a group of mothers of multiples, Peas in a Pod, and they have the best stuff! I get to go in at 0700 set aside for their special members, before all the other people. I will post my treasures soon.

Our 2nd Anniversary

 We celebrated our 2nd anniversary September 3rd.  We were in Texas as well which is where we got married also.  We have had a pretty rough  few weeks, last month my Grandmother passed away on the 20th.  Jared's Pawpa passed away on the 31st. We flew to Texas for the funeral and to spend time with the Bevill family.  We decided to take a rain check for this year.
